CONTEST RULES:

The Preliminary Rounds are split into five shows. Each comedian does five minutes of material in their preliminary round. At the end of each preliminary shows, the two comedians with the highest scores will be announced as finalists.
Comedians will be given “the light” with one minute left in their set. For every 30 seconds a comedian “runs the light”, one point will be deducted from that comedian’s averaged score.
A panel of up to four judges, comprised of past finalists, veteran comedians, and/or industry professionals, determines who moves onto to the finals and who wins the competition. The comedians are scored on a scale of 1-5 for stage presence, originality, and audience reaction. Judges’ scores are averaged.
The Finals feature the 10 comedians from the preliminary shows with the highest scores. Each comedian will do 6 minutes of material in the finals. They may use any material, even material from the preliminary round. The grand prize winner receives $250 and a  spot on the September Show.

Contest nights will be Wednesday Nights July 18th & 25th and Aug 8th 15th & 22nd with the finale on August 29th.

A schedule will be posted no later than July 1st. specific date requests will be accommodated as much as possible.

There is no Fee to Sign up to compete and there will be no cover charge to come to the shows. We are not requiring you to bring people with you (not a bringer contest, lol) but we do encourage you to have folks come out to support you. It will make for a better show for you and everyone else.
